Engineering Manager

Michael Page have been retained by a leading FMCG organisation to recruit an Engineering Manager for thier manufacturing facility near Chester. We are seeking and results driven, experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering function across a complex and challenging site. Client Details This organisation operates across various countries across Europe's and is a leading organisations with its field. They are known for their innovative, sustainable production methods and strong partnerships with their customers and foster a collaborative, forwarding thinking culture. Description The Engineering Manager will report to the Site Manager and will be responsible for a team of 8 engineers and technicians across this complex facility. This role will form a crucial part of the site leadership team and will be responsible for driving operational excellence and cultural transformation across the department. They will: Drive equipment efficiency to ensure optimum availability Develop, embed and drive PPM schedules using Maximo systems Provide guidance and leadership to the engineering team Be accountable and lead investigations and RCA's ensuring all preventative actions are completed efficiently Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department Collaborate with other department heads to align engineering strategies with business objectives Manage and control departmental expenditure and labour spend within agreed budgetsProfile The successful Engineering Manager will possess a range of the following: Experience within a similar role within the FMCG industry Electrical Engineering background preferred with relevant degree (advantageous) Demonstrable experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement methodology Excellent problem solving skills Passionate and energetic with s real drive to improve performance and culture Strong leadership acumen with the ability to hold people to account Job Offer Competitive salary range plus performance-based bonus of up to 10%. 25 days holiday plus statutory leave.
