Job Title: Employment Advisor Location: West London (Barnet, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow) Salary: £31,873 – £36,927 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-time Role Overview: We are seeking dedicated and motivated Employment Specialists to join our team across West London. This is a rewarding and target-driven role supporting individuals with mental health conditions and neurodiverse needs into sustainable, meaningful employment. Working closely with clients, health professionals, employers, and local services, you will deliver the a programme similar to the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model — a proven, person-centred approach that enables individuals to gain paid employment while improving wellbeing and social inclusion. As an Employment Specialist, you will manage a caseload, provide tailored advice and guidance, and build positive relationships with local employers to create opportunities that match client skills and aspirations. This role requires a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and breaking down barriers to work. Key Responsibilities: * Manage a caseload of clients with mental health support needs, including those who are neurodiverse. * Provide person-centred employment support, including vocational profiling, action planning, job search, and in-work support. * Build and maintain strong employer networks to secure job opportunities tailored to client skills and preferences. * Work collaboratively with health professionals, community providers, and referral partners. * Coach, guide, and support clients throughout their journey into work and during job retention phases. * Accurately maintain caseload records, progress reviews, and reporting in line with quality standards. * Meet performance targets related to programme starts, job entries, and job retention. * Champion inclusion, with a particular focus on supporting neurodiverse individuals to thrive in employment. Essential/Desirable Criteria: Essential: * Experience working in employability, vocational support, careers guidance, or related fields. * Strong understanding of the barriers faced by individuals with mental health conditions and neurodiverse needs. * Proven ability to build relationships with employers, clients, and partners. * Strong organisational, IT, and communication skills. * Ability to work to targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Desirable: * Knowledge of the IPS model or supported employment approaches. * Experience in disability, mental health, or neurodiversity support. * Understanding of workplace adjustments and inclusive recruitment practices.
