Job Title: HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver
Hours: 37 hours per week, 05:30 start
Pay Rate: GBP16.16 per hour
Location: Stroud

About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for driving and operating a refuse collection vehicle as part of a crew, ensuring the safe and efficient collection of waste and recycling from residential and/or commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicle in compliance with road safety regulations.

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.

• Work as part of a collection crew, assisting with the loading of waste and recycling where required.

• Follow allocated collection routes and schedules to ensure timely service.

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach at all times.

• Adhere to all health & safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• A valid HGV Class 2 licence.

• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

• Previous experience driving refuse/recycling vehicles

• Good knowledge of local routes and safe driving practices.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Punctual and reliable with a commitment to early starts (05:30).
