Carpenter 1st and 2nd Fix

Carpenters 1st and 2nd Fix, Kings Cross GBP24p/h
We are seeking 1st Fix and 2nd Fix Carpenters to work in Kings Cross for 4-5 weeks. 2nd Fix must have good finishing skills.

Duties of the 1st Fix and 2nd Fix Carpenters:

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Assemble and fabricate wooden structures according to specifications.
Perform roofing tasks and ensure proper installation of roofing materials.
Execute joinery techniques to create strong connections between different components.
Carry out masonry work as required for specific projects.
Conduct painting tasks to finish surfaces as needed.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.

Skills required for the 1st Fix or 2nd Fix Carpenters:

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for carpentry tasks.
Ability to plumb structures accurately for optimal alignment.
Knowledge of electrical systems is advantageous for integrated projects.
Strong understanding of roofing techniques and materials.
Experience in painting techniques for finishing touches on projects.
Competence in assembling and fabricating components with precision.
Familiarity with joinery methods to create durable connections between materials.
Basic masonry skills are beneficial for completing various construction tasks.
