Electrician

AAT are a leading, specialist Lifting and Safety Equipment Installation, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance Company, working within the Wind Energy Industry throughout the UK and Europe. Due to continued company growth, we require motivated and enthusiastic Electrician to join our team.

Responsibilities
As an Electrician within AAT you will responsible for carrying out electrical installation, inspection and repairs of wind turbine equipment and wind farm buildings.
You will also be required to perform inspections, repair and maintenance of a wide range of safety and work equipment within the wind industry with a focus on electrically powered lifting equipment for transporting personnel and goods.
You will be part of team working to the highest safety and environmental standards.
Our work is carried out throughout the UK therefore there is a requirement to work away from home

Qualifications and Skills
To be qualified to City and Guilds 2330/2360 level 2&3 (or equivalent) and NVQ level 3 and have a working knowledge
ECS Gold Card - 18th Edition
You will possess a full, clean driving license
Excellent knowledge of wiring regulations and certification
Knowledge and interpretation of wiring schematic diagrams and fault finding essential
Knowledge and understanding of 3ph motor and control circuits and fault finding essential
Experience with low and separated extra low voltage component systems

Competencies
The ability to work at height of 100 meters and in adverse weather conditions
Innovative problem solving and fault-finding skills
Experience in the renewables/energy sector preferable but not essential
Experience of team working
An enthusiastic approach, self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and well organised
Good verbal and written communication skills
A professional understanding of, and commitment to, the highest standard of health & safety in the work environment
A good level of computer literacy
Pass a pre-employment medical and fitness test before a formal offer of employment is confirmed

What We Offer

Starting salary will be GBP47,689 increasing with technical development
