Estimator

Triangle Fire Systems is a rapidly growing family company specialising in the design, supply and installation of automatic fire sprinkler systems, dry and wet rising mains.

Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Estimator to join our Hastings office on a full-time basis (38 hours per week).

The primary duties of the role include:

Interpreting drawings and producing take offs
Reviewing specifications to understand client requirements
Liaising with customers ranging from individual tenants and homeowners to large building contractors by phone and email
Production of formal tender submissions in a timely manner/to client deadlines
Understand company material, labour, and overhead costs
Review and adjust estimates based on changes in project scope or client requirements
Updating internal systems
Aiding/assisting other team members

The ideal candidate will have, and be able to demonstrate, the following skills and experience:

Previous supervisory experience
Previous estimating experience
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), must be confident and courteous on the telephone and be able to communicate at all levels
An excellent level of IT literacy - Word, Excel and Outlook - with an ability to quickly learn in-house systems
Self-disciplined, highly organised and able to manage own workload
Ability to remain calm under pressure
People person yet resilient and assertive with proactive and positive attitude
Effective problem solving and organisational skills
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
Basic knowledge of MEP services and sprinkler industry is preferred, but not essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: GBP30,000.00-GBP35,000.00 per year
