We're looking for committed and empathetic individuals to join a dedicated team supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at an Alternative Provision based in the Kingswood / Barton Hill area of Bristol . These young people have often experienced significant challenges, and your role will be key in helping them re-engage with learning, build trust, and develop the skills they need to succeed-both in and out of the classroom.

• Providing 1:1 or 2:1 support in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.
• Supporting pupils with EHCPs, particularly in Years 10 and 11, who require consistent, intensive guidance.
• Facilitating learning and emotional development through structured activities and community-based experiences.
• Acting as a positive role model, helping pupils build resilience, self-esteem, and social skills.
• Collaborating with teachers, mentors, and external professionals to ensure holistic support is in place.

• Begin your day by collecting a student and transporting them to school-building rapport from the outset.
• Support learning, lead enrichment activities, and accompany students on community outings throughout the day.
• End the day by ensuring a safe return home, closing the loop on a day full of growth and connection.

• A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs in schools or alternative settings.
• A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and relationship-building.
• A background that helps you relate to the challenges these pupils face-and a passion for helping them find a better path (desirable).
