Decarbonation Quantity surveyor

Location: Royston
Salary: 60,000 per year

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in decarbonisation and retrofit projects within social housing . This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation driving sustainability and improving housing standards.

• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of decarbonisation/retrofit projects (EWI, insulation, heating upgrades, renewable technologies).

• Prepare valuations, variations, final accounts, and detailed cost reports.

• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance to ensure delivery within margin.

• Provide accurate cost forecasting and analysis to support project managers and senior leadership.

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions.

• Ensure compliance with PAS2030/35 standards, contract terms, and health & safety regulations.

• Contribute to tendering and procurement processes for new decarbonisation works.

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing , ideally with decarbonisation/retrofit project exposure.

• Strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and cost management processes.

• Excellent financial management, reporting, and negotiation skills.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field (desirable).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management systems.

• Strong communication skills with ability to engage clients and contractors.
