Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Bristol Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only Start Date: September Salary: £85 – £105 per day (depending on experience) Are you a patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about helping children thrive in their education? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team and support pupils who require additional help to access the curriculum and succeed both academically and emotionally. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who may have special educational needs, learning difficulties, or require extra guidance within the classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, helping them access learning activities Assist the class teacher in implementing personalised strategies and adapting lesson materials Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and social interaction Support students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and support teams About You: Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting A calm, supportive, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to pupil wellbeing Ability to build positive relationships and motivate learners Desirable: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification Knowledge of EHCPs, differentiated learning, or SEND strategies Experience with communication tools such as PECS or Makaton What We Offer: A welcoming and collaborative team environment Ongoing professional development and training The opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey A well-resourced and inclusive learning setting
