Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Lecturer – Food & Drink Manufacturing Location: Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ college in Greater Manchester Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £30,000 – £40,322 per annum Are you an industry expert looking to inspire the next generation of engineers? We’re working with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ college in Greater Manchester that is looking for a dedicated Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join their growing team. In this role, you’ll deliver a range of practical and theory-based modules relevant to the Food & Drink Manufacturing sector. You’ll help students develop the technical skills employers need and support them to achieve their full potential. What you’ll be delivering: Quality Management in Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance The function of fluid power systems Assembly and replacement of components within engineered systems Principles of using hand tools and fitting techniques in the food & drink industry Principles of electrical machines, testing equipment and circuits Operation of process controllers within engineered systems (Desirable) An understanding of legislation and regulations in food & drink manufacturing What we’re looking for: A relevant engineering qualification (degree or Level 3/4) Industry experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, ideally within food & drink manufacturing A recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential — the college can support industry professionals making the transition into teaching Why this college?
