Rixil are forward-thinking, collaborative, and professional team and we're looking for a proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance function!

As an Accounts Assistant, you ll play a key role in maintaining accurate, timely, and transparent financial records across the Trebbi Group. This hands-on position supports the Finance Team with processing sales and purchase invoices, preparing payment runs, and managing ledger reconciliations all to meet critical weekly and month-end deadlines.

As our Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices, including nominal ledger coding and entry into Sage 50
  • Run bi-weekly payment batches and maintain supplier records
  • Manage the sales ledger and customer account setups
  • Reconcile supplier and customer accounts against third-party statements
  • Monitor aged creditor and debtor reports to ensure accurate, clean ledgers
  • Process monthly employee expenses and related journals, in line with HMRC travel and subsistence guidance
  • Support month-end close processes with routine journal entries
  • Handle ad-hoc finance tasks and provide general support across the finance team

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar finance/accounts role
  • A good educational background (minimum GCSE Maths & English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent)
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel, especially PivotTables and basic data analysis
  • Experience with accounting software ideally Sage 50
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Clear communication with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and with suppliers/customers
