Food Technology Teacher – Secondary School – Reading – September 2025 Full-Time, Permanent Position KS3 and GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition (AQA) Supportive and Well-Resourced Department A popular and high-achieving comprehensive school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their successful Technology department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position with a well-resourced food suite and a practical, health-focused curriculum. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and safe lessons that build both technical skills and nutritional understanding, helping students prepare for life and further study. Job Responsibilities: * Deliver food and nutrition lessons across KS3 and KS4 * Guide students through NEA tasks and food science theory for GCSE * Maintain a safe, organised, and engaging classroom environment * Promote healthy eating and life skills across the school * Lead or support extracurricular cooking clubs or community initiatives Candidate Profile: * Relevant degree in Food, Nutrition, or Hospitality with PGCE/QTS * Knowledge of current food curriculum and safeguarding procedures * Excellent classroom management and practical safety awareness * Enthusiastic about inspiring students through real-world applications School Info: * Well-regarded local school with excellent behaviour and results * Two modern food rooms and dedicated technician support * Professional development supported at every stage Salary: MPS/UPS + CPD support
