Power Press Setter - Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Power Press Setter Operator for our client based in Redditch. Immediate starts. Possible permanent position after a successful trial period.

Duties:

• Set and operate various power press tools (forming, blanking, piercing, cropping, roll forming, progression, etc.).

• Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic presses using manual or coil feeders.

• Read and interpret engineering and tooling drawings to ensure parts meet specifications.

• Perform quality checks using standard measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, shadow graphs).

• Identify and resolve any tooling or press setup issues.

• Complete component booking and inspection records accurately.

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including signing off press guards.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with ISO9001/AS9100/ISO14001 standards.

• Adhere strictly to PPE and Health & Safety policies.

• Support continuous improvement and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in setting and operating power presses.

• Power Press Setter certification (ROSPA or equivalent).

• Ability to use precision measuring equipment and conduct quality checks.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with quality standards including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 14001.

• Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

• Punctual, dependable, and flexible with working hours including overtime when needed.

Hours of Work:

Monday - Thursday

6am - 4.15pm or 7am - 5.15pm.

Rate of pay:

GBP13.00 per hour.
