Stores Operative - Temporary to Permanent
Location: Aldershot (relocating to Basingstoke end of July)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am 5:30pm (38 hours per week)
Pay: GBP13.15 per hour / GBP26,000 per annum
Type: Contract (with opportunity to go permanent)
Start Date: Immediate

Our client is a well-established electronics manufacturer looking for a reliable and organised Stores Operative to join our Stores team on a contract basis, with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

As the new Stores operative, you ll play a vital role in managing stock and supporting production by ensuring all materials and components are where they need to be, when they need to be.

What you ll be doing as a Stores Operative:

• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
• Accurately storing and labelling stock
• Picking and preparing materials for production
• Maintaining an organised and tidy stores area
• Using our ERP system to monitor and update stock levels
• Packaging up completed products ready for shipment to our customers
• Reporting shortages or stock issues

What we re looking for in a Stores Operative:

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or stock control role
• Confident using stock management systems (ERP experience preferred)
• Ideally, experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Good IT skills
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Good attention to detail
• Able to commute to Aldershot daily until the end of July and then work in Basingstoke
