Entry Level Customs Specialist

Equation Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an employer for a full-time, permanent Entry-Level Customs Specialist role based near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with logistics, import/export, or freight forwarding experience looking to move into a customs-focused role. You'll join a supportive team and receive full on-the-job training, working in a dynamic and compliant environment.

• 29,000 per annum, rising to 30,000 after 6 months
• Company performance bonus (after 1 year, subject to performance)
• Cashback health plan
• 20-25 days holiday (increasing with length of service)
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday (09:00-17:00)
• Occasional Sunday rota (11:00-16:00), paid at double time or time in lieu

You'll be supporting a team of experienced Customs Specialists in handling import/export documentation and clearance. As your training progresses, you'll gain increasing responsibility in helping ensure that shipments move efficiently and compliantly.

• Assisting with customs entries under supervision
• Tracking and recording international shipments
• Supporting compliance with HMRC/Border Force regulations
• Learning to use customs systems including ASM Sequoia
• Communicating with internal teams and freight partners

• Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or import/export admin
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and build a career in customs
• Organised, methodical, and proactive work ethic
