Estimator - Commercial Fit-Out & Refurbishment Prescot, Merseyside £45,000 - £65,000 + Benefits Your new company This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-established and well-respected commercial construction contractor operating across the North West. Your new role Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing commercial team in Prescot. The successful candidate will take the lead on pricing and tendering a variety of office fit-out and refurbishment projects across the North West. This is a key role where you will contribute directly to the company's continued growth and client success by preparing accurate and competitive costings. Responsibilities will include: Preparing accurate cost estimates for Cat A & B fit-out and refurbishment projects Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, and specifications Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes Conducting site visits to assess project requirements and constraints Preparing and presenting tender submissions to the Commercial Director Working closely with the project and design teams to develop cost-effective solutions Monitoring cost variations and assisting with value engineering Supporting contract handovers to ensure clear cost baselines Maintaining a database of rates and pricing information What you will need to succeed: Proven experience as an Estimator within commercial construction or interiors/fit-out Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, building materials, and trades Experience with refurbishment or design & build projects is highly desirable Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet deadlines Full UK driving licence and willingness to conduct occasional site visits What you get in return: Competitive salary between £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Career development and progression opportunities Stable, supportive working environment with a long-standing team Engaging and varied projects across respected regional and national clients This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable, forward-thinking construction firm where your input is valued, and your career can flourish.
