About the Role As a DT Teacher, your responsibilities will include: • Teaching DT across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of KS5 for experienced candidates. • Designing and delivering lessons that are practical, engaging, and skills-based. • Encouraging design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving in students. • Preparing and maintaining a safe and well-ordered workshop environment. • Supporting coursework and project work with clear assessment and guidance. • Working closely with departmental colleagues to update schemes of learning. • Participating in open evenings, exhibitions, and extra-curricular clubs. • Undertaking CPD to stay up to date with developments in design education. Experience and Qualifications • Degree in a relevant Design or Engineering field • PGCE/QTS with specialism in Design and Technology • Passion for practical and hands-on learning • Good organisational skills and workshop awareness • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for your subject Salary This DT Teacher position will be paid to scale – MPS/UPS, depending on experience.
