Health & Safety Manager


Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Health & Safety Manager to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

The Health & Safety Manager, will be responsible for:

  • Engagement across the team from the management to the shop floor to our contractor supply chain
  • Leading on programmes of work and new initiatives across health and safety
  • Managing a regular audit and reporting program safety
  • Managing and delivering appropriate training programmes
  • Undertaking investigations of site incidents and accidents
  • Regular Gemba's of the site
  • Manage and maintain the COSHH register
  • Ensure all relevant site files are in place and up to date for all service lines
  • Performance audits on permits

To be successful for this Health & Safety Manager role you must have:

  • Safety and/or environmental bias in previous roles.
  • NEBOSH Certificate essential or equivalent level 3 qualification.
  • Strong technical / engineering understanding in a manufacturing / pharmaceutical environment
  • Evidence of practical audit / inspection
  • Experience in delivery of QHSE
  • Broad experience and expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Experience of Integrated Facilities Management sector, in particular Hard or Soft Services where applicable
  • Detailed knowledge of risk assessment
