Engineering Manager

Overview

Adept Resourcing is working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected manufacturing organisation that is undergoing significant investment and modernisation. This is a rare opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join a business at a pivotal stage of transformation.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will lead the manufacturing engineering function, driving strategic improvements across production, quality, and process development. The role will require close collaboration with production, quality, and technical teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of engineering support across machine shop operations.
• Develop and implement manufacturing engineering strategies aligned to business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost.
• Oversee new product and process introductions to ensure timely, controlled implementation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering activity to value streams.
• Support readiness for major equipment and facility upgrades.
• Ensure engineering activities are compliant with quality standards and best practices.
• Set and monitor performance criteria for the engineering team.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar manufacturing engineering leadership role.
• Strong understanding of low and high-volume production methodologies.
• Track record of successful change management and continuous improvement delivery.
• Experience with CAD/CAM and PLM systems.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across operational and technical teams.
