History teacher, Geography teacher or Religious Education teacher Teaching Job Overview

DMG Education is currently partnering with a secondary school in Berkshire who are seeking an outstanding History teacher, Geography teacher or RS teacher to join their team on a permanent basis starting in September. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, enthusiastic, and possess a genuine passion for Humanities. They should have the ability to inspire and engage students, as well as be committed to contributing positively to both academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality History lessons to students in Years 7-12.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to aid development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Humanities curriculum.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, including Humanities clubs and competitions, to enhance the overall learning experience.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and any concerns.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies or Humanities or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the Humanities curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students across all ability levels.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new teaching strategies.
