Anderson Knight are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant for our client in Paisley. The role offers hybrid working of two days per week in the office and a salary of £30,000 per annum. The primary responsibility of this role is to closely support the Finance Manager in providing robust transactional management and group financial reporting on a daily basis. This will likely span purchase ledger, sales ledger and banking across a portfolio of 4 or 5 businesses across the group as well as taking each company to trial balance and producing a reconciled monthly accounting pack for each. The role would suit someone who is looking for a varied and expanding role as part of a growing finance team. Responsibilities: * Allocation of bank receipts & payments. * Reconciliation of supplier statements. * Aged debt monitoring. * Processing of monthly payment runs. * Reconciliation of control accounts. * Production of monthly accounts pack for group laboratories * Production of ad-hoc reports for management. * Provide support to the Finance Manager and Financial Controller where required. Skills: * Prior experience of purchase and sales ledger essential * Experience of a high-volume environment desirable * Sage 50 & Xero experience highly advantageous * Strong Excel skills beneficial Desirable behavioural attributes * Attention to detail. * Initiative and enthusiasm. * A desire to challenge and improve processes. * Flexibility to plan and prioritise a diverse workload.
