Job Title: PC-DMIS CMM Programmer
Location: Basildon, Essex
Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday & Thursday and 7am to 2pm Friday
Salary: GBP40,000 to GBP47,000 per annum

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled PC-DMIS CMM Programmer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and running CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to inspect and verify the dimensional accuracy of complex components and assemblies, ensuring they meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS software to inspect parts according to engineering drawings and CAD models

• Develop and optimize automated inspection routines to improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and apply it to inspection strategies.

• Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports.

• Perform first article inspections reports, in-process, and final inspections.

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues.

• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Document procedures and maintain program libraries.

• Train and support other operators or technicians as needed.

Requirments:

• Experience with ISO, AS9100, or IATF 16949 quality systems (industry dependent).

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
