Sewing Machinist

XCL are looking for a skilled sewing machinist to join our clients team. This is a good opportunity for long-term employment at a family-run business that have a close-knit team. You will be involved in the manufacturing of a range of different products and and applications where innovation is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating sewing machines such as flatbeds and overlocking machines
• Working with a range of different materials such as wool, cotton and a variety of fibres
• Maintenance of the machinery to ensure a smooth and continuous production
• Checking against specifications to ensure that the right product has been correctly manufactured

Requirements:

• Previous time served as a sewing machinist within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Keen eye to detail to ensure that the products are manufactured to specification
• Proactive approach to ensure that machines are maintained and quality does not dip

Due to the location, you would ideally have to live close by or drive and have access to your own vehicle.
