Role Purpose:As a Level 1 Polisher, your main job is to fix small defects on metal cast parts using tools and techniques provided. You'll follow standard procedures to make sure the finished parts meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Perform at least one polishing operation from a list that includes:
Basic and complex aerofoil polishing
Radius and edge polishing
Flash removal
Shroud and inter vane polishing
Use of small and large grinders
Deburring
Polishing large castings
Use hand or power tools to smooth out surface defects while maintaining shape and size
Select and replace grinding belts as needed
Use measuring tools to check dimensions and make adjustments
Plan your work to meet delivery deadlines and flag any issues to your supervisor
Work closely with visual inspectors to meet strict quality standards
Enter information into planning systems and booking tools
Help train others and share your knowledge
Follow all health, safety, and quality rules and procedures
Support company-wide improvement efforts
Perform other duties as needed
Keep your work area clean and organized

Produce consistently high-quality work
Experience with polishing tools and techniques
Previous work in casting, automotive, or metal manufacturing
Skilled with air tools and metallic materials
Comfortable working under pressure
Good communication and basic computer skills
