Art Teacher

Are you an experienced Art Teacher looking for work in Birmingham?

Winner Education are seeking a qualified Art teacher for a Pupil Referral Unit in the South Birmingham area. This role is full time, you must be readily available due to the urgency to fill this position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Curriculum Lead in tailoring lesson plans based on learner requirements
• Adapt lessons to suit the needs of children
• Create a stimulating learning environment
• Support KS3 and KS4 pupils doing GCSE/BTEC levels
• Conduct informal assessments and progress reports for individual pupils
• Work in partnership with Curriculum Lead and Pastoral team to ensure each pupil is meeting their targets and potential
• Provided excellent communication with parents when required

The successful Art Teacher must:

• Be a deeply caring and passionate person
• Support students with the transition of the next stage of their education or training
• Have previous experience working in a SEN school or a Pupil Referral Unit
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of children with behavioural challenges and SEMH
• Have strong resilience and patience
• Be a great team-player and form good relationships within the school environment
• Good classroom and behaviour management
