Base Salary: GBP35,000 > GBP50,000 per annum
Working Hours: Workshop: Mon Fri days / Site Work: As per client requirements

ISQ Recruitment is proud to be working with a Norfolk-based manufacturer in their search for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support the design, build, installation, and servicing of electrical control panels and switchgear systems.

This role offers a varied mix of workshop-based work in Norfolk and frequent travel to client sites across the UK, with occasional overseas and offshore assignments. You ll be joining a skilled team that delivers high-quality, innovative control solutions to the oil & gas, petrochemical, food, and defence sectors.

The successful candidate must have a full UK driving license and full Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).

Package & Benefits

• Base salary GBP35,000 GBP50,000 (OTE up to GBP80,000)
• 25 days annual leave (incl. Christmas shutdown)

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, install, and test MCCs and distribution switchboards
• Interpret and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Commission motor starter panels (including VSDs, electronic relays, etc.)
• Perform fault-finding, injection testing, and insulation resistance testing
• Service and modify legacy switchgear systems
• Travel to client sites at short notice when required

Requirements

• Recognised electrical qualification (HNC, HND, NVQ)
• Experience with protection relay commissioning and VSDs
• Strong control panel wiring and fitting skills
• Full UK driving license and Right to Work in the UK
• Willingness to travel, including offshore and internationally
