HGV Recovery Driver

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced HGV Recovery Driver to join our established, Tier 1 contractor client's team at the Dartford Crossing . In this critical role, you will assist in the efficient operation of the M25 Network , providing heavy and light vehicle recovery and supporting road safety operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide rapid response vehicle recovery on live motorways and trunk roads.
  • Attend incidents, hazards, and road-related collisions, ensuring fast and safe clearance.
  • Support maintenance activities, including debris clearance, road repairs, litter picking, sign maintenance, and graffiti removal .
  • Carry out routine vehicle and equipment checks in line with company procedures.
  • Accurately record and report incidents using mobile communication/data devices.
  • Participate in Winter Service operations , ensuring road safety in all conditions.
Requirements:
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (Category C+E - LGV Class 1)
  • IVR 1, 2 & 3 Certification
  • Driver Qualification Card & CSCS Operative Card
  • Experience in recovering heavy and light vehicles on live motorways or trunk roads.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices , including underlift, winch, and crane operations .
  • Ability to pass security checks, drug & alcohol testing, and an annual driving licence check .
