We are working with residential schools across Derbyshire and recruiting for experienced residential support workers for students aged 5 to 20 years of age. You will be supporting the school to transform the lives of children and young people with a mission to provide students with academic and social challenges an environment whereby they are happy and safe and they can learn and communicate with confidence. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated residential support workers to assist students with a range of care activities in the home and supporting their needs during leisure activities and school holiday periods, promoting their independence and choices at every opportunity.
Key requirements for this role will include previous knowledge and experience in a similar role or setting. You will be patient and understanding and resilient to undertake any challenges you may face, with the support of the staff around you. The ability to work well in a team and use your initiative with a basic understanding of SEN and meeting the different needs of individuals in your care.
Due to the location of some of these roles a driving license and own transport is preferred.
