Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School, Greenwich
Start Date: Immediate Full-Time, Long-Term Until End of Academic Year
Salary: Dependent on Experience

A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately . This is a full-time, long-term position continuing until the end of the academic year.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them engage positively with learning.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, the pastoral team, and external agencies to develop and implement effective behaviour support strategies.

  • Provide 1:1 mentoring and small group interventions to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.

  • Serve as a consistent and positive role model for students across the school.



Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational or youth work setting.

  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to managing behaviour and supporting emotional development.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
