Estimator - Commercial & Industrial Construction Bristol & South West | Permanent | Main Contractor Salary - £50-£65k + package We're working with a well-established contractor seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in the South West. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects across commercial offices, industrial builds, refurbishments, and data centres, typically valued between £3m - £40m+. Key Responsibilities: Analyse project plans and specs to create detailed cost proposals Lead competitive tenders, pricing materials, labour, and plant Develop and maintain a high-performing supply chain Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering strategies Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ITTs, and PQQs Liaise with clients to clarify project scope and expectations Prepare and present bids, attend interviews, and handle clarifications Collaborate with bid writing, commercial, and delivery teams Stay current with market trends, inflation, and cost forecasting Support strong project delivery through pre-construction insight Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven experience in a similar Estimating role within construction Background in commercial/industrial new-build and fit-out projects (preferred but not essential) Comfortable managing tenders from £3m - £40m+ Industry-recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Familiarity with NEC3, NEC4, and JCT 2016 contract suites Confident using digital estimating tools and software
