PPM & Extra Work Engineer

Overview We are seeking an experienced PPM & Extra Works Engineer to join our field-based team in Leicester. This role involves maintaining system performance, attending reactive callouts, and ensuring equipment operates within regulatory standards for a broad client base across residential and commercial sectors. Responsibilities * Perform routine servicing, fault-finding, and repairs on a range of security and fire systems * Maintain and repair intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, access control, and door entry systems * Attend reactive callouts within service-level agreements * Participate in an on-call rota: 1 week in every 4 (excluding Fridays) * Produce clear and accurate service reports and relay findings to clients and internal departments * Operate within current industry compliance and health & safety guidelines Qualifications * Previous experience in a service or maintenance role within the security or fire safety sector – necessary * Competence in working with at least two of the following systems: CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, fire alarms – necessary * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities – necessary * Full UK driving licence – necessary * ECS Card, IPAF or FIA training – desired but not essential Day-to-day * Monday – Friday * 8:30am – 5pm * 40 hours per week * Participation in an on-call rota is required: 1 week in every 4 (excluding Fridays) Benefits * Competitive base salary with overtime opportunities * Company van, fuel card, uniform, and tools provided * Ongoing professional training and career progression * Supportive and collaborative team culture If you meet the requirements and are looking for a long-term role with a well-regarded team, we’d love to hear from you.
