A well-established manufacturer based in Leicestershire, part of an international group, is seeking a forward-thinking HR Director to lead and evolve its people strategy. With 150 employees on site—predominantly in operational roles—the business is entering a phase of exciting transformation, developing greater autonomy and a people-first culture. You’ll join the Senior Leadership Team, playing a critical role in shaping the future of the UK operation, supporting performance, and driving a positive and engaging working environment. 🌟 Key Responsibilities: * Define and deliver the HR strategy aligned with the company’s transformation and growth plans * Champion a high-performance, inclusive and employee-oriented culture, working closely with senior leadership * Lead organisational design, workforce planning and talent management initiatives * Oversee employee well-being, long-term absence management, and Occupational Health * Direct all recruitment, onboarding and succession planning processes * Lead the implementation of a new cloud-based HR system, overseeing data accuracy and reporting * Manage the employee benefits offering, liaising with brokers and communicating effectively to staff * Drive leadership development and training programs across all levels of management * Ensure full compliance with employment law, GDPR, and internal HR policies * Foster employee engagement through visibility on the shop floor and ownership of company events * Provide strategic oversight of the payroll function and direct line management of the HR team * Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing insight, challenge, and support across all people matters 🧠 About You: * A seasoned HR leader (HR Director or senior HR Business Partner) with experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting * Comfortable working across both strategic and operational levels * Commercially astute with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change * Strong track record of creating and leading HR strategies in growing or transforming businesses * Approachable, visible, and collaborative leadership style * Confident managing HR systems implementation, data analysis, and reporting * Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance requirements 🎁 What’s on Offer: * Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 per annum * 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays * 6% employer pension contribution + life assurance * The opportunity to lead the HR function in a well-established, forward-looking business * Significant influence at board level, shaping the culture and direction of the company 📩 Ready to Take the Lead?
