Accounts Assistant - 6-Month Contract (Strong Potential to Go Permanent)
Location: Potters Bar
Salary: Up to 35,000

Working Pattern: Office-based initially, with potential for hybrid working after probation
We're working with a successful and growing business in Potters Bar that's looking to add an experienced Accounts Assistant to their finance team. This is initially a 6-month contract to support a busy period, but there's a very strong chance it could turn permanent for the right person.

You'll be reporting into a Group Financial Controller and getting involved in a wide range of finance tasks across three entities-perfect for someone who enjoys variety and ownership in their role.

What you'll be doing:
Managing daily cash book entries across multiple entities
Completing weekly bank reconciliations
Posting and reconciling intercompany transactions
Preparing and reconciling fixed asset schedules; posting depreciation
Calculating franchise payments and month-end accruals
Responding to finance queries from operations
Submitting monthly reports to the Office for National Statistics
Supporting process improvements as the business upgrades its ERP system
Providing general support to the wider finance team as required

What we're looking for:
Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar finance role
AAT Level 3 qualified (or equivalent experience)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple ledgers
Experience with NetSuite is a bonus
DBS check required (or willingness to complete one)
