Account Manager (Quoting/Expediting)


An established manufacturing company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Account Manager to support customer operations. This role involves managing the entire order lifecycle-handling RFQs, tracking production, resolving technical queries, and ensuring timely delivery-while acting as the key liaison between internal departments and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and respond to RFQs with accurate pricing, lead times, and technical details.
  • Monitor and manage customer orders from submission to delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships.
  • Liaise with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical queries efficiently.
  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfilment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Quoting / Expediting within Manufacturing
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems - Epicor preferred but not essential
  • Strong understanding of Account Management, Project Management, RFQ Management


Location : Oldham
Permanent
Salary: 35k - 50k (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Time - 08:00-1700 Mon-Thurs, 08:00- Lunchtime finish Fri
Benefits: 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays. Company pension 4% employer and 5% employee contribution (9% combined), Sick pay after qualifying period.
