Electrical Design Engineer

Job title- ElECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: East Riding of Yorkshire

Type: Permanent Salary: 35,000- 50,000

Job Summary:

• This is an opportunity to join a reputable business as an Electrical design engineer, where you will be designing electrical systems and processes for a market leading product.

Main Duties:

• Developing and supporting electrical system designs using customer specifications.
• Creating accurate 2D wiring diagrams, 3D assemblies and Bills of materials.
• Ensuring all designs comply with IEE wiring regulations and specific product regulations.
• Producing drawings to standard formats using recognised symbols and best practices.
• Updating and improving existing drawings based on design changes or feedback.
• Working closely with production, engineering and other departments to ensure a smooth build process.
• Liaising with the shop floor to support live production.

Person Specification:

• proficiency in AutoCAD 2021, working knowledge with Autodesk inventor 2021 & Vault 2021.
• Strong grasp of electrical systems and principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot design issues early.
• Degree in electrical engineering or automotive engineering (not essential).
• Proven background in installation, inspection, testing and fault finding of electrical systems.
• familiarity with IEE wiring regulations.
