We are currently hiring a Press Department Supervisor to join a leading manufacturer. This role involves supervising daily production activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe working environment. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving efficiency and continuous improvement within the team. Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm Salary: £39,291 Type: Permanent Location: Stourport, DY13 Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the press brake team to meet production targets and quality standards. * Ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of press brake machines in accordance with specifications. * Ensure that KPI’s are monitored and targets achieved * Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications * Deliver shift briefs with focus on quality, cost and delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement * Drive performance of team members, giving direction and feedback to aid good performance * Through the utilisation of lean manufacturing techniques, strive to exceed the Company targets in productivity, efficiency and quality on a continuous basis * support the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot build * Conduct incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure * Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians * Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities. * Ensure all external and internal auditory standards and improvement requirements are met * Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures Experience * Familiarity with tooling setup and operation of press brake machinery. * Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing setting is highly desirable. * Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel * Sage 200 For more information, please apply with a copy of your CV today and a member of our team will be in touch
