HGV2 Dustcart driver

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Dustcart Drivers in Buntingford for immediate start roles with a reputable waste management company. Job description As an HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver (Refuse Driver), you will be responsible for operating a dustcart vehicle on scheduled waste collection routes, working alongside a team of loaders to complete residential and commercial collections efficiently. This is a hands-on Class 2 driving role requiring good awareness of health & safety, route management, and teamwork. Key responsibilities include: * Driving a Class 2 dustcart vehicle on assigned routes * Supervising and working with a team of refuse loaders * Completing household and commercial waste collections * Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting * Ensuring compliance with waste management and safety regulations * Assisting with loading duties when required * Completing all relevant paperwork and route documentation Pay & Benefits: * £17.35 per hour (accrue holiday) * £19.44 inclusive of holiday pay. * Weekly pay * Full-time, ongoing work * Immediate starts available * Parking on site * Opportunity for temp-to-perm roles * Consistent shifts and reliable workload Shift Pattern: * Monday to Friday * Early starts (typically 05:00 – 06:00) * Day shifts (8–10 hours) Requirements: * Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C) * CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) * Digital Tachograph Card * Previous dustcart / refuse experience preferred * Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience * Good knowledge of UK driving regulations * Reliable, punctual, and team-focused Location: Buntingford, Hertfordshire – ideal for drivers based in Hertfordshire, Stevenage, Royston, Ware, and surrounding areas Apply now (immediate starts available): We are looking to fill HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver roles in Buntingford quickly, so don’t miss out.
