Procurement Manager

A well-known Aerospace manufacturing organisation are urgently seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to drive supplier performance and maintain relationships with key suppliers. Role: Procurement Manager Duration: 12 Months Rate: £40 - £45 per day (Inside IR35) Location: Wimborne (3 days on-site) In this role you will take ownership of end-to-end procurement activity for a defined supplier base, playing a pivotal role in operational and strategic success Key Responsibilities: Own supplier relationships - driving quality, cost, delivery, and performance Lead sourcing and selection activities, ensuring best value and compliance Deliver supplier development and performance improvement initiatives Ensure on-time delivery aligned to production demand Undertake supplier relationship management tasking for allocated supply base (i.e. business reviews, tactical improvement initiatives, supplier development etc.) Manage engineering and schedule changes, ensuring smooth communication across stakeholders Support and implement robust supplier agreements and contracts Manage the communication of engineering changes, IP supplier changes and schedule changes Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and supplier performanceKey Experience: Proven experience ideally in aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing environments Solid supplier relationship management experience Strong background dealing with tricky, complex suppliers Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills Ability to manage complexity, prioritise effectively, and solve problems under pressure A proactive mindset.This is a fantastic opportunity if you thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment and enjoy building strong supplier relationships.
