Senior Datalink Technical Expert (SC Cleared) Location: Primarily Remote (UK-based) Rate: £700 per day (Inside IR35) Duration: 3-Year Programme Travel: ~5 trips per year across Europe + occasional US travel Must be willing and eligible to go through the SC Clearance process Overview We're supporting a major, multi-year European aviation programme and are looking for a Senior Datalink Technical Expert to lead high-impact technical investigations and stakeholder engagement across critical datalink services. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of aviation communications, contributing to operational performance and safety across an international ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Act as SME for datalink systems: ADS-C, CPDLC, VDL Mode 2 Lead and support technical and operational investigations Conduct root cause analysis of datalink incidents and performance issues Engage with key stakeholders including: ANSPs Communication service providers Aircraft manufacturers Validate corrective actions and remediation strategies Contribute to technical governance, reporting, and documentationKey Requirements Strong experience with aviation datalink systemsProven background in: Systems engineering, OR Technical investigation within aviation environments Experience working in multi-stakeholder aviation ecosystems Ability to produce structured technical outputs and reportsIf you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website
