Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Bromley Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a EHCP Coordinator this role will be: Fully Remote Working The right candidate will: * Support colleagues to prepare chronologies and any other necessary paperwork, arrange and chair conferences with witnesses and perform other duties in relation to First Tier Tribunals and Appeals. * Prepare cases for tribunal, liaising with Legal Services, senior SEND team managers and EPs, and represent the Local Authority in a legal environment. Prepare evidence for Local Government Ombudsman * Ensure that all requests for assessment are distributed to caseworkers and discussed at SEN Panel in a timely way – ensuring compliance with the Code of Practice and report on these to the wider service * To respond to relevant FOI requests and Subject Access Requests in compliance with council policy * Present the Local Authority’s cases at the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal and defend appropriateness of the proposed service provision for an individual child/young person We require the following: * Experienced in all aspects of Appeal and medations work, including attend hearings, JADR, TCMH, Mediations and casework. * Legislation relating to SEN * Experience of managing/delivering a range of administrative functions and systems in a multi-disciplinary environment To discuss this opportunity further please send over an up-to-date CV and give me a call on (phone number removed) If you know someone who would be a good fit for the role, please send over their contact details and get in touch, as we do offer a generous referral fee.
