Salter Grange has been exclusively retained by a leading M&E specialist subcontractor to identify a site-based QA Manager for a flagship regeneration project in Hackney, East London. Our client is known for delivering high-quality building services on complex, high-profile urban developments. As they move into major installation phases, they require a dedicated Quality Assurance professional to own the entire quality lifecycle on-site, from first-fix to client handover. This role is 100% site-based, offering long-term stability on a massive, single-site flagship scheme without the need for constant cross-country travel. QA Manager Responsibilities: * Implement, update, and manage the project-specific Quality Management Plan across all mechanical and electrical packages. * Perform daily on-site walkthroughs, benchmarking installations against engineering drawings, building regulations, and strict client specifications. * Drive progressive snagging and manage digital QA field management software to record, track, and close out defects. * Coordinate with site delivery teams to build out comprehensive O&M (Operation & Maintenance) manuals for smooth handover to the Main Contractor. QA Manager Requirements: * Proven experience in a QA Manager, Quality Inspector, or high-level Site Manager role focusing on quality within UK construction. * Deep technical understanding of M&E building services installations and standard UK building regulations. * Proficiency with digital site-management and QA platforms (e.g., FieldView, Procore, Dalux, or similar). * A collaborative but assertive approach—capable of managing site teams and subcontractors to ensure standards are never compromised. * Valid CSCS Card. This is the chance to anchor yourself to a high-profile East London development for the long term. You will be backed by a company culture that prioritises quality over speed, giving you the full authority needed to enforce standards on-site.
