Hotel General Manager - Cameroon (Africa)


Kerry Robert Associates are delighted to be partnering with a hotel located in one of the most vibrant cities in Cameroon in the search for a General Manager. The successful Hotel General Manager will ensure the optimal management of the real estate, financial, and human resources to offer a high quality experience to customers, and to guarantee the financial stability of the hotel. Key responsibilities: * Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets * Manage daily operations across all departments, ensuring service quality standards * Create and monitor departmental budgets while controlling operational costs * Recruit, train and develop staff while maintaining optimal staffing levels * Build relationships with guests and handle escalated complaints professionally * Analyse performance metrics and implement improvements based on data insights * Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements * ​Collaborate with the Managing Director on improvements and property enhancements The ideal candidate must have: * 5+ years of hotel management experience with leadership responsibilities in renowned international groups * Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing P&L statements * Strong knowledge of property management systems and hotel operations software * Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays * Master's degree in hospitality or business * Experience with brand standards and quality assurance programs * Certification from hospitality associations or management training programs * Fluency in French and English is essential Benefits Salary: Depending on experience + bonus Excellent benefits: Tax free salary plus performance bonuses, expat package and professional development opportunities
