Installation Engineer

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our client’s team as a Garage Equipment Installation Engineer. 4 Day Working Week! This is a great opportunity to begin or build upon a career in the automotive industry, working hands-on with garage equipment in car workshops across the UK. Please note: This role involves being away from home 3 nights a week (Monday–Thursday), every week. Accommodation and expenses are covered. What You’ll Be Doing: * Assist with installations of garage equipment such as vehicle lifts, tyre changers, wheel balancers, and alignment systems * Work from technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and alignment * Learn on the job alongside experienced engineers * Attend training sessions to stay up to date with the latest tech * Help maintain documentation and learn to complete necessary paperwork What We’re Looking For: * A technical mindset – basic understanding of mechanical/electrical systems and a strong willingness to learn * Problem-solving ability – able to follow instructions and develop troubleshooting skills * Physically capable – comfortable lifting equipment and working with your hands * Good communicator – able to work well with team members and speak confidently with clients * Attention to detail – committed to high standards in every install * Reliable and proactive – punctual, dependable, and ready to take initiative as you grow into the role Pay & Perks: * £28,000 Starting Salary * Plus: ~ on average £4,000 per year in voluntary overtime * 4-day working week: Monday–Thursday * Annual “working away” bonus: £1,000–£4,000 (based on service length) * High-quality uniform provided This is a hands-on role with plenty of travel, learning, and real-world experience.
