Join a growing electrical contractor delivering high-value healthcare, commercial, residential and design & build projects. As our electrical estimator, you will take ownership of the full tendering process. You’ll produce accurate, commercially competitive estimates and play a key role in winning high-quality projects. - Identifying growth opportunities and generating new tender enquiries. - Own electrical tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission, including full technical and commercial packages. - Produce detailed take-offs, first principles estimates, and competitive bids for projects valued up to £1.5m. - Price healthcare refurbishments in live environments (phased works, compliance-led). - Manage the full tender lifecycle – clarifications, post-tender interviews, and smooth handover to project delivery teams. - Identify and price public sector procurement opportunities, capturing all M&E, prelims, and contractual risks. - Review and negotiate supplier & subcontractor quotations to secure best commercial outcomes. - Capture all M&E, prelims and contractual risks; identify value‑engineering opportunities. - Identify value engineering opportunities and maintain an accurate cost database. Skills - Minimum 3–5 years’ proven electrical estimating experience within electrical or M&E contracting (ideally 5+). - Strong background in healthcare refurbishments (live environments) and public sector/compliance-driven projects desirable, residential and commercial fit‑out experience; comfortable in fast‑track tender environments. - Experience pricing projects up to c.£1.5m with full technical submissions desirable. - Excellent take‑off accuracy, numerical/analytical skills and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office. - Commercially astute with experience negotiating supplier/subcontractor bids; exposure to Tier‑1 contractors desirable. - Stable career history and a dedicated estimating background. - Strong understanding of electrical installations. - Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills; able to chair meetings. Qualifications - Relevant electrical or building services qualification (HNC/HND/Degree desirable). - Solid technical knowledge of electrical building services systems; fire strategy awareness desirable
