We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Northampton that is seeking to appoint a dedicated Languages Teacher from September 2026. The school is ideally looking to appoint permanently, although fixed-term and long-term supply arrangements will be considered for the right candidate. The Role Teach French, Spanish, or German across Key Stages 3 and 4 Deliver engaging lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills Promote cultural awareness and enthusiasm for language learning Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that support progress for all learners Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform next steps Contribute to curriculum development within the Languages department Support enrichment activities and wider school initiatives where appropriate What We're Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent Specialism in French, Spanish, or German Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for languages and culture Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities Effective classroom management and communication skills A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting student success Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with full induction and support available.
