Maintenance Engineer £40,000 per annum | 40 Hours per Week | Flexible Working Hours Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable role within a growing manufacturing business? We are looking for a proactive and dependable Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. What We Offer ✅ Salary of £40,000 per annum ✅ 40-hour working week ✅ Typical hours of 7:00am – 3:30pm, with flexibility around start and finish times ✅ Ongoing training and development opportunities ✅ Supportive and friendly working environment ✅ Long-term career stability within an established manufacturing business The Role As our Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment and site facilities remain safe, efficient, and fully operational. Your duties will include: Responding to machinery breakdowns and carrying out repairs. Supporting our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme. Fault-finding and resolving mechanical issues on production equipment. Performing routine maintenance tasks including lubrication and servicing. Conducting weekly forklift truck (FLT) maintenance checks. Carrying out fire alarm and emergency lighting testing. Undertaking minor repairs to portable tools. Ordering maintenance consumables and spare parts. Working closely with production and management teams to minimise downtime. Supporting site Health & Safety standards and compliance activities. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role. Strong mechanical maintenance skills. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A reliable, positive, and proactive approach. Desirable Skills Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent). FLT licence. Health & Safety training. Experience within a manufacturing or production environment. Interested?
