This full-time role is ideal for individuals with strong practical skills and an interest in Design & Technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or education. The Role As a DT Technician, you will provide practical and technical support to the Design & Technology department, ensuring equipment, materials, and resources are prepared and maintained to a high standard. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for Design & Technology lessons Supporting teachers and students during practical classroom activities Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring resources are readily available Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials when required Ensuring workshops and classrooms are organised, clean, and safe Carrying out routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment Supporting health and safety procedures within the department Assisting with displays, projects, and departmental events where requiredWho the School is Looking For The school is keen to hear from reliable and proactive individuals who enjoy practical work and have strong organisational skills. You should have: Good practical and technical skills An interest in Design & Technology, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, or a related field Strong organisational skills and attention to detail The ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety Previous experience in a workshop, technical, engineering, or school environment is desirable but not essentialWhy Apply?
