Mechanical Fitter - HV Fitting & Earthing Location: Monk Fryston, North Yorkshire Project: SSER BESS Site Start Date: 8th June 2026 Duration: Until 28th August 2026 Hours: 45 Hours per Week (07:00 - 17:00) Rate: £350 per Day IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Payment Method: Umbrella / CIS Positions Available: 4 We are currently recruiting for 4 experienced Mechanical Fitters to support HV fitting and earthing activities on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Monk Fryston. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile energy infrastructure project, working within an experienced site team delivering critical electrical and mechanical installation works. Responsibilities: Carrying out HV fitting and earthing installation works Installation and assembly of mechanical components and equipment Supporting the construction and installation of BESS infrastructure Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements Working closely with site supervisors, engineers and commissioning teams Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship Essential Requirements: Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification Valid CSCS Card Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter on industrial, energy, utilities or infrastructure projects Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures Ability to work effectively as part of a site-based team Desirable Requirements: Previous experience working on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects Experience on substations, HV installations, renewable energy or power generation projects Knowledge of HV fitting and earthing systems National Grid, DNO or transmission project experience What We Offer: £350 per day 45 hours per week Opportunity to work on a major SSER BESS project Immediate start available Long working days and consistent workload Weekly pay If you are an experienced Mechanical Fitter with HV fitting and earthing experience and are available to start in June, we would like to hear from you.
