Experienced Butcher

We are recruiting for an Experienced Butcher to join a well-established butcher shop based in West Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled butcher who enjoys a mix of hands-on production work and customer interaction within a friendly, supportive, and close-knit team. The role combines traditional butchery skills with retail counter service, making it ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and customer engagement. What’s on offer Competitive hourly rate up to £16.50 depending on experience Stable, full-time permanent position Consistent daytime working hours Supportive and friendly working environment Opportunity to work across both production and customer-facing areas Key responsibilities as Experienced Butcher Breaking down larger carcasses received in quarters Preparing and processing meat for retail sale Working across a range of proteins including beef, lamb, poultry, and goat Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer-facing counter service Supporting day-to-day shop and retail operations Working collaboratively within a small butchery team Maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and presentation What we’re looking for in an Experienced Butcher Have proven experience as a butcher with strong technical skills Be confident working with multiple species Be reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Be comfortable working both behind the scenes and on the retail counter Have strong communication and customer service skills Enjoy working as part of a small, supportive team Working hours: Day shifts, approximately 8:00am – 5:00pm To apply for this role as Experienced Butcher, please click apply online and upload an updated copy of your CV
