Commercial Gas Engineer

Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Central London Salary: £55,000 Standard Salary Working Hours: Monday – Friday Flexible working hours provided 9 hours are completed per day (45 hours per week) About the Role We are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing engineering team covering a range of commercial contracts across Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and client-focused engineer with strong commercial gas experience to work across a varied portfolio including hotels, dental practices, retail sites, and restaurants. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs across commercial gas and heating systems. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems * Service, repair, and maintain commercial boilers and gas appliances * Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs efficiently * Work on associated mechanical plant including: * Pumps * Heating systems * HVAC equipment * Catering equipment * Attend reactive and emergency callouts across commercial sites * Participate in the 24-hour on-call rota * Ensure all works are completed in line with current gas regulations and health & safety standards * Complete job reports and documentation accurately Requirements * Commercial Gas qualifications essential (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Gas Engineering or equivalent) * Proven experience working within commercial environments * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Experience working on commercial boilers, heating systems, and gas appliances * Catering qualifications desirable but not essential * Good understanding of HVAC and mechanical plant systems * Full UK driving licence required Package & Benefits * Company van provided (business use only) * Fuel card * Mobile phone * Plenty of overtime opportunities available * Company performance bonus scheme * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays * Travel time paid (depending on salary structure selected) On-Call Rota Engineers will participate in a 24-hour on-call rota.
